01 / The challenge

What they came to us with

Global Peace Chain runs youth empowerment, policy advocacy and UN Sustainable Development Goal programmes through a network spanning dozens of countries, with country directors, ambassadors, partner organisations and recurring summits.

An organisation operating at that spread does not need one website. It needs several, plus the systems underneath them, and it needs the whole thing to be manageable by people whose job is peacebuilding rather than web administration. What they had before was frustrating to work with, which for a volunteer-heavy international network is not a cosmetic complaint. It decides whether anything gets published at all.

02 / Our role

Where Devbion sat

Devbion became the direct technical partner for their web presence, responsible for both the sites themselves and the systems supporting them.

The brief was less about a redesign than about reliability: build something the organisation could actually run day to day, across a distributed team, without a technical bottleneck sitting between them and their own programmes.

03 / The work

What we delivered

Multiple websites and the supporting web infrastructure behind them.

  • Several distinct websites across the organisation's programmes
  • The supporting web systems and infrastructure underneath them
  • A setup the organisation's own team can operate without a developer standing by
  • Technical work handled directly with the organisation, not through an intermediary

04 / Outcome

What changed

Global Peace Chain moved from a technical setup they found frustrating to one that is reliable and manageable by their own people. The web presence stopped being an obstacle to running their programmes.

This is an example of our custom web development work. See the other clients and partners we work with.
